PARENTS
OF LITTLE LEAGUERS
December 21, 2011,2:13 pmComposite Bat Moratorium
Parents, before you go out to buy a new bat this season, be aware that Little League Headquarters has imposed a moratorium on most composite bats. For more information, click this link to learn more about these new regulations.
Background Checks
All
local Little Leagues are now required to conduct background checks
on Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons,
volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the
league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players
or teams.
Procedures for Handling Difficult Issues at the Park
There are times when you may feel that your child may be treated unfairly by another player, parent or coach or possibly that someone may be disruptive to the enjoyment of the game. If you have any concerns like this or any other issues that need to be addressed, the board at Citrus Park Little League is available to help. If the manager of the team isn't able to resolve an issue, or if you are not comfortable discussing an issue with your manager, the next step is to get the player agent for your division involved. To find the player agent for your division, click on the PARK INFO button on the left side of this page. Then, click on the person's name that corresponds to your division to contact that person via e-mail. If the player agent isn't able to resolve the issue, it will then be addressed by the board. If we all work together, we can ensure that parents, volunteers, and especially the children have an enjoyable experience at our park.
Parent Orientation Program

Little League Parent Orientation Program
The Little League
Parent Orientation Program was created in 2001 to better educate
Little League parents regarding the purpose of the Little League
program.
“We know
that the vast majority of parents at Little League events conduct
themselves properly,” said Stephen D. Keener, president and
chief executive officer of Little League Baseball and Softball.
"Thankfully, there are only a few who do not understand that
the enjoyment of children is the goal of Little League. The Little
League Parent Orientation Program gives our local league volunteers
advice on the best way to handle those situations when a parent’s
behavior gets out of hand.”
The presentation
includes the Youth Sports Parent Code of Conduct, the Little League
Pledge and the Little League Parent/Volunteer Pledge, and many other
features.
