June 24 2009,11:07 pm11 Year Old Baseball All Stars Falls Short in D6 Championship
Our 11 year old team made it to the District 6 championship game by defeating Palma Ceia LL 5-2 in the semi-final game Tuesday night. Palma Ceia had won their previous three games by a margin of 56-6. The championship game Wednesday night was a rematch of Sunday's game where Bayshore LL defeated CP 17-1. Our boys gave a much better effort in the championship. Michael Huchro pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up 2 earned runs, but our offense was held to two runs, eventually losing 4-2. Our 9-10 year old team also made it to the playoff round in their tournament, losing to Bayshore 25-13 in the semi-final round. The 12 year old and Junior tournaments start Monday, June 29. Citrus Park will host the Junior tournament.

The Junior and Senior baseball teams concluded their District 6 Tournament runs with wins in the Championship games. The Senior Indians beat Northwest LL 3-1 to bring home the TOC trophy, and the Junior Dodgers defeated an all star team made up of Tampa Bay, Bayshore and Palma Ceia LL 10-9 in the final game. Congratulations to the Indians and Dodgers for their 2009 TOC victories! Both teams will be playing in the Hillsborough County Championship Tournament on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Palma Ceia LL.Junior Dodgers vs. South Brandon LL - 10:00 a.m. Senior Indians vs. Bloomingdale LL - 1:00 p.m.

The Major and Senior softball teams both won their respective divisions in the District 6 Tournament. The Senior Inferno won 8-7 and 4-3 to win their division, while the Major Krusherz defeated Tampa Bay LL 1-0 in an exciting 9 inning game. Congratulations to the Inferno and Krusherz for bringing home the 2009 TOC trophies!

The Lorenzo "Tapi" Rodriguez Tournament of Champions starts this week for baseball and softball. This is the tournament that determines the District 6 champions in each division. You can follow the progress of our teams

4 2009,8:14 amCitrus Park Little League Hosts Baseball Clinic Saturday, January 31, 2009, Citrus Park LL hosted a baseball clinic put on by the coaches and players from the USF baseball team. This was a great event where Little Leaguers got a chance to learn from some of the best college coaches in the area!
